- No early termination fees. You can close your account at any time, but we recommend converting your account to the Citi Basic Banking plan to avoid the high monthly balance requirement.
If you have a Citi Priority checking account, the Citi Prestige annual fee will be reduced from $450 to $350. The $350 annual fee remains even if you subsequently close your Citi Priority account.(Update: no longer works)
Bonus conditions
- This bonus is only available to new customers. Those who currently have a Citi checking or savings account, or who have closed an account within 180 days are not eligible for this offer. Citi credit card holders are not exempt from these rules.
- Deposit the new Citibank funds into your new checking account within 20 days of account opening. Maintain the required minimum balance in your eligible account for an additional 60 days starting on the 21st day. See the following table for the relationship between bonus and deposit amount:
